In
this world, there is nothing more universally received and
understood than music. It is a language,
comprehended by anyone who has the ability to hear or simply feel such as the
nearly deaf Beethoven would follow the vibrations of the instruments while working
and living as a master composer. There seems to be a soulful, invisible power
that resides within each note played on a piano, each string picked on a guitar
and within each beat of a drum.
One of the most prevailing affluence's of music
is its uncanny capability of expressing our emotions. We may pick up our
favorite instrument and play a song that describes the way we feel, we may put
on our favorite album and just solely listen. These are avenues to the soul. We
can listen to our worries being narrated by a weeping riff from a soulful B.B.
King live improvisation. Perhaps it is
the “4 Ballades”, by Frédéric Chopin that connects us
to a deeper understanding of ourselves. Whichever way we look at it, music is
here to stay and it will continue to live on in the hearts of us who call it
magic.
